April 23 - Cement Screeding for Bedrooms, Yay!

We submitted our defects list and request for cement screeding to the HDB Branch Office on 14 April. Our block's Technical Officer called us back on Monday, 16 April, to discuss about the defects reported. At the same time, also took the opportunity to highlight the urgency to start cement screeding for the 3 bedrooms, so that the renovation can proceed as targeted on 2 May. His reply was that lead time is usually 3 to 4 weeks, but he will try to speed things up for us.

On 22 April, when we went to our flat, was pleasantly surprised to see the cement screed materials inside. Yes, the cement screeding will start the next day, 23 April! Hooray! Here are some of the pictures taken of the work in progress.

April 7, 2007 - Keys Collection, Finally ;p

Looking forward to this day for quite some time. We have deferred the appointment 2 times so as to be able to settle my investment. Luckily, everything is clarified and we are able to proceed with the 2nd appointment on April 7.

Our appointment was scheduled at 9.10am, but we reached HDB at a little past 8am. In fact, we woke up at the usual wee hours we usually do when going to work! We went into the Sales Office and finally signed all necessary documents. The HDB officer was very efficient and we were done within less than an hour. After that, it's straight to our home as proud owners :) The feeling within us when Dearie finally opened the main door to our flat was just so exciting! I think he felt quite thrilled to be the one to open the door too ;p Here are some of the photos we have taken of our flat, in its original state.
